Well, hello there!
I am so delighted you chose to join us for Geography of Now.
Beginning on Monday 10th April, you’ll receive a message in your inbox every weekday. The daily message will include a reflection and lesson as well as a photography/noticing/writing/gratitude prompt. The photography and writing activities are designed to take no more than 20 to 30 minutes as we are all busy people. Please note that I encourage participants to do what + as much as feels right for you and not to worry about “getting behind.” There’s no such thing in this course.
The course will run for six weeks, from Monday 10th April until Friday 19th May. Please note that messages will be sent at 4:00 p.m. Tokyo time so, if you live elsewhere, you’ll get your lesson earlier in the day or during the night. Feel free to read the lessons and do the day’s activity whenever it best suits you.
At the same time as the lesson is sent to your inbox, that day’s prompt will also be published at our private Facebook group.
Here’s what you will need for the course:
- Computer with internet (for accessing the course and downloading your photos)
- Smartphone camera or point + shoot camera (Feel free to use a fancier camera if you have one)
- Journal and pen (I like one small enough that I can carry it with me at all times)
- Facebook account. Note: we will share our work with each other in a private Facebook group. This means that ONLY people enrolled in this course will be able to see your photos, your writing, and your comments.
A note about receiving my messages:
The Geography of Now course is sent by me via Mad Mimi. If you have never received an email from me before, the message may end up in your Spam folder. You can resolve this by making me (email@example.com) a contact in your email or checking your spam folder. Thanks so much!
Please note that I’ll be adding each participant as a friend on Facebook so that I can add you to our secret and private group. If I have difficulty finding you on FB, I’ll send you an email.
On the weekend of April 8th and 9th, I’ll share a pep talk with you.
I’m looking forward to taking this adventure with you!
