Yokohama-hot

The weather. I must talk about the weather… I am Canadian, after all, and I don’t want to disappoint my mother.

When we arrived in Yokohama on August 1st it 32 degrees Celsius. We were expecting that. Eight weeks have passed and, although we’re perched on the front stoop of autumn, it’s still hot.

Africa-hot.

Cali, Colombia-hot.

Too hot for the kids to play outdoors at recess.

Hot enough for people to be hospitalized with heat stroke. Thousands of them.

So much for “cooler than Bangkok”.

These are a couple of many benefits of having the train line begin directly below our building – we always get a seat to Shibuya and, at the the beginning of the ride, the train is not crowded.
