Lounge. Play. Dream. (48 hours on Koh Samed)

My friends found the evenings a bit cold on Koh Samed but it was probably the first time I have been completely comfortable outdoors since moving to Bangkok. We left campus at 2:30 p.m. on Friday afternoon, all of us moving swiftly and surely into the glorious light of our weekend.  We nine (escaped-teachers) piled into a van that was driven by a man who spoke less English than I speak Thai and, three hours later, we were boarding a speed boat that would take us across the Gulf of Thailand to Koh Samed. There are more sunshine stories and poladroids and memories of pad thai (of course) but for now, I’ll leave you with these three photographs – my favourite images from the weekend.
