  1. We went and watched the exact same thing in the park today — giant model sailboats in the pond! Except, over here in San Francisco, they were all run by older folks!

  2. Ah, a girl after my own heart. I fell in love with little french children while we were in Paris as well. They all just looked so perfect and charming. I took so many pictures of french children that Tom KNEW I was missing Jack more than I was letting on! Thanks for sharing these pictures. They brought a smile to my face.

  3. @JenThe Parisiennes have very happy children and I don't think it is an accident. The French cultivate lovely childhoods.@CanCan (MomMostTraveled) So cute! I had never seen this before… this vendor had a cart full of sailboats to rent. I saw this boating for beginners in the Tuileries Garden, quite close to the Louvre.@Marina VillatoroI couldn't have said it better myself!@Amy @ The Q FamilyThe go-carts are great, right? Again, a beautifully dressed (and very tanned)vendor rented out these little cars to kids and their parents. He helped pick out the car that was the best size for the kid. He even helped solve conflicts between children (okay, boys) who bumped into each other with their cars. This little circuit was in the park that leads up to the Eiffel Tower but it was the first time I have ever seen it.@familyadventureguidebooks Thanks. I think so too!@LorraineThose go-cart kids were pretty excited.@Dim Sum, Bagels, and Crawfish How lovely that your sister took her first steps in the Louvre. Cool! I agree… your kids will love Paris!@AmidaI have not yet been to San Francisco. The whole city seems like a decadent play-land for adults!@CatherineThanks for the compliment about the poladroids. It's such fun!@MeredithI have this oh-so-clear picture of you crouching down… snapping away… thinking, "I wish Jack were here.. I wish Jack were here…" @DominiqueI felt the same way. That girl… the little blonde girl… she was totally my hero!
