Bones in the City

In London the weather has been warm and sunny and I have not so much as opened up my 4 Euro (no… make that pound) umbrella.

A few days ago, I took a walking tour of the City of London (what is now known as the financial district) with Context London. We stopped to study this remnant of the Old Roman Wall but access was restricted. When I asked one of the workers why we were not able to get closer, he said, ever so proudly,

“You know this American television program ‘Bones’?”

“Yup,” I said. Although I have not yet seen it, the first season of the television show is sitting at my parents’ house just waiting to be have its cellophane ripped off. The show is CSI-like and stars David Boreanz who played Angel to Sarah Michelle Gellar’s Buffy.

“Well, they’re filming an episode right here. Imagine.” he said.

Stay tuned for more London stories and pics… but, sadly, none of David Boreanz.

  1. i've heard a lot of good things about context tours. They do them in Italy too. Did you enjoy your tour? Was it worth the price? I may do one when I get to london.

  2. Hi Matt!Yup… I really liked the tour! It was called "Portrait of a City" and I learned more about the city of London in three hours than I would have in a week on my own. I have also taken a tour in Rome (the Nativity Walk at Christmas time) and one in Venice (the Accademia). All three were absolutely worth the money and the walk in Rome was extraordinary. The groups are never larger than six and I asked a lot of questions. I recommend Context Tours.

  3. Monna, thank you for the kind comment. You are always welcome in any of our cities. Matt, feel free to contact me if you need any information about our London walks.
